Why “curry leaf” ????

I know I have to justify the profile name “Curry Leaf” , the question “ why "Curry Leaf ?“ is being raised by most of my friends…some thought it is my craze for cooking .. some thought it is my yet another depression note… some thought that I am inspired by some regional’s film actors… some are still puzzled about it… few of my dear ones were able to sense it, even before I breathe about it …

Well curry leaf might sound spicy .. but it has got nothing to do with my love for cooking…neither do I claim myself to be a great cook to write a blog about cookery.. anyways ..jokes apart…me being an optimist or pretending to be one in the previous column don’t want to share any pessimistic views about “Curry Leaf” . Curry leaf is a spice used in most of the Indian recipes to enhance flavour. There are two contradictory ways in which the meaning can be perceived.

It goes like this …

Optimistic: it adds flavour to the curry

Pessimistic: it is thrown away once its purpose is fulfilled in the curry…

Since I claim myself to be an optimist, I go by the former one and I believe that this curry leaf will give different flavours to the readers. Neither do I want to reach the heights of Arunthathi Roy, nor do I wanted be another Chetan Bhagat, but wish to be recognized as an author of “Curry Leaf”.
